We looked for a long time before we found a fully carved cello that we could sell at this price, one that would still be around in 100 years if properly cared for, One that is fully carved with ebony fittings.   It has a warm (not strident like so many introductory cellos), smooth sound that is easily big enough for orchestras and ensembles. And like all of the cellos we sell, you can trade it back next month, or in a decade, toward any cello we own that is of greater value. The Salusti comes with a good carbon bow and nice padded bag.

A note about price: there are a lot of cellos available online for just a few hundred dollars. We've seen many of these brought into our shop by their discouraged owners: unplayable, unfixable and unreturnable.  If decent new cellos were available for these prices, we would sell them.
